Snow is finally here!

I'm not a big fan of snow, but it's nice to get the kids out to play in it. Saturday the kids could hardly wait to get out and go sledding in snow. So, we called our cousin Kendall to see if she wanted to come and her and Matt came out and even brought us all hot chocolate to share! The kids had a blast. I don't remember getting as cold as fast as my kids get. ( I think maybe we are raising wussy's with all their fancy heaters and air conditioning HA!) But, really I can't complain both Saturday and Sunday the played outside and loved it. Evan is not to sure he likes it. He must have got some snow in his boots, because he decided to take off his boot while playing with this kids outside. Than started to walk around crying that his boot was off. So, after the boot drama he stuck around on our deck and watched the kids play in the back yard.

Christmas and more Christmas

The kids always get chocolate coins in their stocking this year they got little ones and a great BIG one. Where does santa find this stuff?!
Baby Alive that really poops! So, she can be a "real" mom ( those were her own words)
Jack was so excited to get a 3DS he was saving his own money for one because we told him we wouldn't buy him one. Good thing Santa found one.
Wuggle Pets! Every time it came on TV I was told to watch this commercial and how much she wants these.
Kids opening their stockings

Santa came! Mom and Dad, wake up Santa came!

Cookies for Santa!

The kids spent the afternoon with my sister so I could go finish up my Christmas shopping . I had it all set up for them to make cookies so that we can leave them for Santa ( I'm going to try to convince that that Santa might like a glass of wine and some cheese) . They had a great time. Some of the cookies are VERY crunchy! Georgia is so excited for Santa this year she can hardly wait! This year is going to super fun with her!

A haircut

Well I gave into the pressure and took Evan to get his haircut. I have never given Evan a haircut just his bangs. He has these beautiful curls and I just didn't want to give up on his baby curls. So, I waited till he was two and got his two year pictures done. (good idea because I never got the one year pics done, poor third baby)

The Miller/ Barr trip to the apple orchard!

Getting us to the apple orchard was like herding cats, but we made it! We love Country Basket on Alpine and 9 mile not to far from mom and Mikes in Rockford. Eleven kids and Eleven adults. It was fun! The kids had a great time and I think the highlight of the day for the kids were the bunnies! I heard each kid ask their parents to get a bunny for their house, Ha! good luck with that! (ask Santa!)
We went on hayrides and picked pumpkins and then went back to Grandma and Grandpas house. They let us roast hotdogs on the fire pit in the back yard and we also had chili and donuts and apple cider for dessert! I love this time of year and look forward to this trip with my family every year. We have been going to an apple orchard every fall with the kids since Jack and Charli were babies!

He Had Me In Stitches!

Evan got stitches this week! If monday wasn't already fun filled I got to spend the afternoon in the urgent care with Evan. We were dropping Georgia off to school and at her preschool there is a huge fish tank in the lobby that the kids love to sit on the benches in front of it and watch. This fish tank is the incentive to leave Georgia and go because really he would like to stay and play with sister and her classroom. So, everyday Evan runs down the hall to the bench to see the fish. Well, monday he ran right into the little benches in front of the tank and hit his mouth. OUCH! His teeth went through his front lip! I saw this and knew right away that we wouldn't be going home for our normal nap. We went to urgent care in Grandville at 1:00 and didn't see a Dr. till 2:45!!!! To say I wasn't happy was an understatement. I had hold him down while the nurse had his head and he screamed bloody murder! I will never go back to that place. I cried like a baby watching and listening to him. I hate seeing my babies hurt. Evan is okay and keeps trying to mess with his stitches, good thing he only needs to have them for five days.
