Summer, cousins and Harper Lake!

I would say for most major summer holiday my whole family gathers to go up north to Irons MI to Harper Lake. We have 10 adults and ten grandkids all packed into this little cottage. Things get a little hairy I admit but, the kids have a blast! Swimming, boating, campfires, sleepover and cousins! All my nieces and nephews are crazy close in age together. We have two eight year olds, three five year olds , two four year olds, a three year old and two one year olds and Kelly just added a new on in May! This is the stuff that our kids will remember for a lifetime! The older they get the more fun and crazy things are up there. I have blast watching all of them learn new things and get more brave as the summers go on!

Jack with the sparklers
Getting ready for Grandpa Miller to take them on a tube ride!
Grandpa and Grandma have an honest to goodness popcorn maker right by the lake. The kids are always eating popcorn! Grandpa starts popping around ten in the morning and it goes all day!
Evan loves him some popcorn!
They found a turtle! This was the best thing EVER they all fought to keep it but, lucky for the turtle Uncle Kevin set it free!Jumping off the dock! I can't tell you how many shots I had to take of this to get them all jumping but, they wanted me to get them jumping at the same time!

Get ready, set! Go!

Summer, not a time to blog!

What Kind of four year old birthday party would be complete without pin the tail on the donkey!

I made one of those Big Top Cupcakes! Not bad, everyone liked it.
Jack and Georgia taking her new bike out for a ride. Side note I have have a hard time making my kids wear a helmet. Georgia took hers off right after the bike ride and won't put it on again. I know I should keep on this but, man it's so hard since I never had to. I don't want to be one of those people that say "when I was a kid" and "look at me I'm fine" but come on!
Her new bike even has a place for a baby to ride, she loves it. If you look closely you can see she has a barbie in the back.
I have to admit I haven't even turned on my computer for a week! This summer I have barely sat down at the computer. Thank God for smart phones it's all I've needed. But, I hope to get some pictures of summer happenings. Harper Lake, Georgia's birthday Jack's birthday and also, vacation as well as day to day stuff!

Splahing

So happy to get outside and play! We went to Oriole Park in Wyoming they have redone their park with new toys and a small splash pad. Jack and Georgia had a great time and didn't want to leave Evan on the other hand not so much! He loved splashing with his feet in the puddles, but the water was cold and he wanted nothing to do with it.

Easter Hangover!

The baskets are ravaged the candy is half eaten and there is grass from Easter baskets all over (I'm sure I will be finding grass around the house till the 4th of july) The Easter bunny has come and gone! We had fun the kids get so excited from coloring eggs to finding all their Easter baskets it is so much fun.

This year we had my Matt Kendall over to do eggs and eat dinner and play. The kids had a blast! Not only did we do two dozen eggs but, I think they put stickers on everyone of them after they dried.

In the morning the kids did the easter egg hunt here at our house and then made it over to my mom and Mikes house. I got Georgia the cutest dress she would not stand still for me to take a picture but I go a few. The dress didn't stay on long because all the kids went on an Easter egg hunt in the woods at my moms. They rode on the four wheeler and and golf cart. Grandma had bubbles and ball and sidewalk chalk. They were so tired when they got home!

Shhhh I don't want to say this loud

But..... I think it might be spring!

On Sunday the weather was 80 degrees it was like summer! We took the kids to the park they played and did bubbles and we also brought there scooters. We got home and started up the grill. The kids begged to go in the hose and play so, I gave in, what the heck! They had a blast. Evan was a little unsure as long as we kept the sprinkler on a low he was happy!

Yesterday we spent two hours in the backyard after lunch. Evan has a fit when it's time to come in. I need to get a lock on the slider screen door Evan thinks he can open and walk out to play just like his brother and sister does. That's all I need to go downstairs and come back up to see my 16 month old wondering around outside!

Spring could get here any day now!

The mess that is my living room! This is a good day! I'm so sick of cleaning up the same toys and the TV always seeming to be on! I will be glad to be outside and at the parks for this spring and summer. Side note check out Evan on the couch! It's his new favorite thing to climb!
I'm just sick of being inside! I'm sick of the toys and the mess and kids bouncing off the walls! I can't take the fighting with each other . I will be so, happy for spring to come. I'm crossing my fingers for an early spring so the kids can get out and play!

Snow days are better than a regular day off

Who is that masked man blowing my driveway?

The Drifts are up to the windows (never mind the wreath I think I'm going to stick hearts on it and for valentines ha!)
Yesterday we had our first snow day this year! And Steven had his first from work EVER! I don't know what it is about a snow day that makes it better than a regular day off. But, we had so much fun! It took Steven hours to snow blow the driveway and sidewalk. The kids played outside for two hours and I did for about an hour while Evan took his nap. We played board games and watched movies and made popcorn. Today is another one which I think is kinda pushing it, but, I'm still my PJ's and it's past noon so, that a bonus, cause I'm not leaving today at all. So, hopefully Jack will go back tomorrow and I will have to go shopping and do my Friday thing but, it's just so nice have a break from the routine. ( it gets old)
