Keeping the Summer Alive

I'm trying to keep the summer going the best we can. The weather has been cool and we are about 3 weeks away from school starting. I'm trying to cram in as much as possible since we kinda had a lazy summer without to many commitments.

Last weekend Steven and I took the kids to the Kent County Youth fair and had a blast! I could write a whole blog on "People Watching at a Carnival" it's crazy the amount of weirdos that attend a carnival.

On Sunday we went to the park with my nieces and played on the splash pad and on the playground we had a blast and spent three hours.

Soooooo I Do have a blog........ But........

Busy year is all I can say about my HUGE break in our family blog. I started working up at the kids school in the lunchroom and also was VP of the PTO ( never again with the PTBLOW) So what have you missed? You know, day to day shit that really isn't to exciting. We did get a dog and we lover her. Our dogs name is Ruby she was a rescue dog and she fits our house perfect.

This was Jack's last year at West elementary and he will be going to a 5th and 6th grade building it's a little said that he will be moving on and I'm not impressed with the school but, I don't have a lot of options at this time.( He's so smart)  On the last day of school the whole school and staff line the hallways and as the 4th graders left the building for the last time everyone claps them out. ( I'm not going to lie I did tear up )

Georgia is moving on to the 1st grade and is doing well she just turned 6 and is very proud that she can swim in the deep in without a life jacket. She got a new bike for her birthday and had a really fun party.

Jack turned 10 this year and it blows my mind. We got him a Nook HD for his birthday and he wasn't expecting that at all. We also let him have a couple of friends over and go to craigs cruisers and then a sleepover in the tent in our back yard. We downloaded a movie to the ipad and they had popcorn and video games all night. Jack had a BLAST and talked about it for week afterward.

Evan is just happy playing with everyone who want to play over at his house. He loves playing in our little pool and riding his big wheel. WE ARE POTTY TRAINED 100% I have been buying diapers non stop since 2007 when Georgia was born and it feels so good to be free of those MFer's

little bit of Christmas

I have a lot of pictures I want to share on Christmas. Christmas morning the kids got up at 7:20ish, not to bad I have heard horror stories of kids getting up at 3am so, I'm glad the kids waited. I also way get a picture of the kids in front of the tree with their stockings and have taken their pictures like that since Jack as been a baby. (my mom took one of my brothers and I like that till we were out of high school.) This is the first year that Jack was in on "secret" and he helped in keeping the spirit of Christmas alive for the little ones.

Fastest 3 years ever!!!!!

Evan Turns 3!
I can't believe that my baby three! That goes so fast. Evan got up the morning of his birthday and just like his brother and sister he got a present to open and he was very excited to open.  He also got a balloon that seemed to be THE BEST THING EVER!(kids are so easy to please) We let the kids alway pick their birthday dinner and cake so, Evan said he wanted BBQ he loves him some BBQ and mac n cheese. Right now Evan is into anything that the older ones are into. So, Georgia's favorite show is Peppa Pig and so is Evan's. Evan said he wanted a George cake from Peppa Pig.  It turned out great! We had just had Grandma's and Grandpa's over for dinner and cake and ice cream. Evan opened his gifts but, the gift of the night was his own Beyblade set! Normally a 3 year old would not want or even know what Beyblade is, but when you have a nine year old brother and watch him and all his friends play it's the COOLEST GIFT EVER! This also helps in keeping the baby from taking Jack's Beyblades out of his room. Now Evan can battle his big brother! He is so happy!

Tooth Fairy TIme!!!!

As a parent there are times you want to pull your hair out and lock yourself in the bathroom (with booze and pills) But, there are times like loosing a tooth and all the excitement of the tooth fairy or Santa or The Elf on the self that make my job fun and worth every crappy whiney, tattle telling, my house is a mess, stop biting your brother moments I have to deal with as a mom!!! Georgia lost her first tooth and she is so excited. I think she feels like she just got into the big kid club. The tooth fairy brings two gold dollar coins under their pillow. ( inflation from my day for sure ) She was so excited that the tooth fair came. We heard her get up and look under her pillow. We heard the coins hit the ground on her floor. We then heard her go to the kitchen and get a flashlight and look under her bed for the coins. LOL! She is so funny. We then hear her run downstairs to Jack to show him what she got!! So cool.

A little late but.....

I know we are all thinking about Turkey and dare I say it, Christmas and all the shopping and parties that go with.  But I forgot Halloween!! Although I would like to forget it.  It's not that it was bad, but the weather just raining and cold and windy. As a parent all I wanted to do was march the kids to Meijer and just let them pick out all the half priced candy they wanted if they would just not go trick or treating but that wasn't going to happen. We went to Brent and Krissy's house like we do every year and all the cousins were there. I wish I had a group picture but my camera decided go missing and when all the kids were done posing I found my camera. So, the kids had fun and I don't even think the noticed the rain, wind and cold. Hopefully next year things will be better.

Our little Pumpkins

Miller/Barr annual pumpkin patch trip! It was a bit colder than normal but I don't think the kids even cared. We went to the same place we do every year over my Mom and Mikes house and had a blast! Afterward we went back to Grandma's house and had chili dogs and snacks. When we got back home we carved pumpkins and did roasted seeds ( yum)
